Oscar Faulkner is a twenty-one-year-old British-Canadian baritone based in Manchester, United Kingdom. He is currently in his second year of undergraduate studies in classical voice and opera at the Royal Northern College of Music, under the tutelage of Quentin Hayes. Oscar has a keen interest in the operatic style of singing, and a love for a range of genres from Baroque to contemporary.

Born in the United States, Oscar was born into a music-loving family who frequently exposed him to classical and jazz music from an early age. But it was not until he moved to Vienna at the age of four that he began his musical journey. He began piano lessons whilst there, but later changed his focus to singing when moving to the UK at the age of six, joining a local church choir in Winchester as a treble and beginning private lessons at the age of eight.

Oscar has also studied under Emma Docherty, James Ottaway and David Lowe. He has been involved with concerts in venues such as Winchester Cathedral, Christ Church Cathedral, Bergen Grieghallen and the Royal Festival Hall, as well as various tours around Rome and Prague. Oscar has also been privileged to partake in masterclasses held by Lynton Atkinson, Paul Drayton and Martin Walker.

Since beginning his studies at the Royal Northern College of Music, Oscar has been involved with the RNCM Chamber Choir as well as Manchester Vox, a newly formed octet featuring members of RNCM and the University of Manchester. He has also been involved in roles in RNCM opera productions with Gianni Schicchi and The Pilgrims Progress.
