VICTORIA FARRELL-REED

25-year-old violinist Victoria Farrell-Reed started playing the violin at the age of six and in 2006 she was invited to study at Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester. In 2016 she was awarded a scholarship to study under Professor David Takeno at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, where she has recently completed her Master’s Degree, under Professor Bartosz Woroch.

Victoria has performed extensively throughout the UK and Europe. As a soloist, she has performed in many recital series and her concerto performances include Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor, which she performed with Bolton Chamber Orchestra. Victoria has also taken part in masterclasses with many prestigious violinist such as, Peter Zazofsky, Stephen Barratt-Due, Alf Richard Kraggerud and Fionnuala Hunt.

Victoria is currently enjoying a varied freelance career, In which she works regularly with various ensembles across London and the UK at venues such as the Royal Opera House, Cadogan Hall and St John’s Smith Square. Most recently, Victoria was awarded a place in the 22/23 Southbank Sinfonia fellowship with whom she has already had many fantastic opportunities including, performing in the London Jazz Festival, working alongside Adrian Butterfield in the London Handel Festival and working with the great violinist and conductor Gabor Takacs-Nagy.
