Emma graduated with First Class Honours from Trinity College London winning the musicianship prize and made her solo debut with the Royal Opera as a Flowermaiden in Parsifal with Placido Domingo. Over the last 30 years she has sung many operatic roles and Oratorios all around the UK. She has appeared on Radio 3 In tune and made a CD of Handel Arias with London Mozart Players. In 2019, she won the Art Song prize at the New York Lyra international Vocal competition. She founded and is Artistic Director of community music charity ELMO running Music at the Ville, a project making music with prisoners at HMP Pentonville. Last year she performed Strauss Four Last Songs at three venues including this church with the Wyatt Sinfonia conducted by Zoë Kundu. On next Sunday 23rd April she will be singing Missa Votiva Zelenka here with the Hackney Festival Chorus conducted by John Andrews.
