Brought up in Derbyshire, Bass-Baritone Edward Jowle is a postgraduate at the Royal College of Music, having graduated from the undergraduate course in 2018. He studies with Russell Smythe and Gary Matthewman, and has participated in masterclasses with Sir Thomas Allen, Dennis O'Neill, Gerald Finley and most recently with Thomas Quasthoff at the Wigmore Hall. He is a 2019/20 Samling Artist and an RCM Rose Williams Scholar, also recieving support from the Drake Calleja Trust, Help Musicians UK and the Josephine Baker Trust.

His concert repertoire includes works from Monteverdi to new commissions, performing with choral societies and orchestras across the UK and Europe. Recent highlights include Handel Messiah (Nevill Holt); Bach B Minor Mass (Lloyds Choir); Berlioz L'enfance du Christ (Scherzo Ensemble); Oli Tarney St Mark Passion (Endellion Festival); Elgar The Apostles (London Philharmonic Orchestra).

Forthcoming projects include Masetto (Don Giovanni) for Nevill Holt and a recital at the Oxford Lieder Festival. He will continue his studies at the RCM in September as a member of the Opera Studio.
